You've probably noticed that some of the pages we've visited ask for the 'ticker symbol' of the company. This is the abbreviated name that appears on the 'ticker' (formerly ticker tape but now electronic) and is used for company identification in stock listings. To get the ticker symbol for the company you want, type in the name of the company in the entry area and click on the 'submit choices' key.
