9—Mount Fuji
Mount Fuji, located between Yamanashi and Shizuoka Prefectures, is Japan's highest mountain at 12,380 feet. Several hundred thousands of years ago, volcanic activity created this beautiful mountain. The last eruption occured in 1707. It has long been an inspiration to great artists and is symbolic of Japan's great spiritualism. As far as mountains go, it is a relatively easy climb.
