Syllabus: 1 Day Workshop:
Using & Creating Virtual Field Trips

Audience: K-12 Educators

Workshop Description: Participants can expect to learn to use virtual field trips in the curriculum, and will receive instruction in creating a simple field trip using TourMaker software. Participants will begin creation of their own virtual field trip on a subject of their choice. Among topics covered are pre-trip planning and research, how to choose appropriate sites for your trip, custom pages, trip development, and publishing of finished field trips. Educators will also be introduced to the effective use of TourMaker as a student tool for web-based projects.

System Requirements: PCs running Windows '95 and up Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and up (If you use Netscape, that's not a problem. You just need to have IE installed on your system, you don't need to change your default browser.)
